Hi everyone, this will be a guide to show you how you can have the best and easiest gaming experience when exploring the world in Division of Life.
Depending on the class you choose, be it Warrior/Mage/Guardian, you earn +1 to a certain stat EVERY LEVEL.
Warriors +1 Attack (For increased melee damage.)
Mages +1 Magic (For increased mana/spell damage.)
Guardians +1 Defense (For increased health.)
Any class can wield any weapon! You can see a Mage wielding a bow, or even a Guardian swinging around a staff! You can play the way you want to play
...To a certain extent.
This is where I come in to help clear up some things!
All classes in Division of Life share the same spell book. So there are no class-specific spells, but rather spells players can pick and choose from to fit their preferred play style. While this is a good concept, allowing players to have access to all of the different spells and simply choosing which you want, I feel there exists a strong conflict.
The stronger spells use more mana, obviously. And melee damage is extremely slow going to increase, unless you're a Warrior and it is increasing for you over time. So you'll want to be using spells as often as possible. Which leads me to my biggest point of emphasis...
BE A MAGE
As a Mage, you are earning more mana as you level up. This passively allows you to use more and more spells, with much less effort than the other classes. And since all classes use the same spells, and it's all about how much mana you have... Mages are the go-to.
If you are not a Mage, you MUST find a balance between magical wizardry gear (such as robes and pointy hats) and your hardy plated gear (shoulder pads and boots or what have you.) The plate gear increases your Defense (Health) and sometimes your Attack (Melee damage), but also sometimes decreases your Attack. But, with almost all plated gear, you lose Magic (Mana). Leaving you with less spells. Leaving you with less damage and reliable tools for survival.
I don't like having to pick a Mage or be faced with a lack of abilities. It's bad design.
Please make CLASS-SPECIFIC RESOURCES and SPELLS.
Examples:
Mage
- Mana Resource
- Fireball
- Arcane Missile
Warrior
- Rage Resource
- Slam
- Bloody Strike
Guardian
- Presence Resource
- Mock
- Shield Bash
